It also marked the end of Steven Moffat’s reign as he also bowed out as Executive Producer, Show Runner and writer for the show after 7 years at the helm.
But nothing shouted louder than ‘the end of an era’ than when the official Doctor Who social media accounts posted this on the last day of 2017. A time lapse of (what was) the current Tardis being dismantled.

After exactly 5 years as both the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctor’s Tardis set, she is now gone. Presumably just put into storage as the Doctor Who Experience is currently still closed down.
Hopefully one day in the future, both this Tardis and the DWE will be back for us to enjoy. I hope so as this was probably my favourite Tardis set because I loved that it was on 2 floors!
Of course, now that does leave us to speculate what Thirteen’s Tardis will look like. It’s the end of one era, but now a whole new one begins.
